Safe, Structured, and Person-Centred Support for Children and Young People

At Care NW, we understand that every child and young person deserves the opportunity to feel safe, supported, valued, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes regardless of their background, experiences, or challenges.

Our Children’s Residential Services are designed to provide high-quality, structured, and nurturing environments for children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, developmental, and mental health needs. We focus on creating stable and supportive homes where young people can build trust, develop confidence, and achieve greater stability and independence over time.

We support children and young people with:

A Child-Centred Approach

At Care NW, we place children and young people at the centre of everything we do. We recognise that every individual has unique needs, strengths, experiences, and aspirations, which is why our support is fully person-centred, trauma-informed, and tailored to each young person.

Our approach focuses on building safe and trusting relationships, creating structure and consistency, and supporting emotional wellbeing and positive development.

We understand that many young people entering residential care may have experienced trauma, instability, or disrupted support networks. Our experienced teams provide compassionate and consistent support designed to promote stability, resilience, confidence, and positive long-term outcomes.

Structured and Outcome-Focused Support

Our residential services are designed to provide structured and therapeutic environments that support young people to develop important life skills, emotional regulation, social skills, confidence, and independence.

Support may include:

Each child or young person will have an individualised care and support plan developed in partnership with families, social workers, commissioners, schools, healthcare professionals, and wider multidisciplinary teams.

Experienced Leadership and Safeguarding

Care NW benefits from a senior leadership team with significant experience across both Ofsted and CQC-regulated environments, including the management and oversight of children’s residential services supporting young people with complex and high-dependency needs.

Our leadership team understands the importance of safeguarding, placement stability, behavioural support, emotional wellbeing, and positive relationship-based care. We are committed to maintaining safe, nurturing, and well-led environments where children and young people are protected, respected, and supported to thrive.

Safeguarding is central to everything we do. Our services operate with robust safeguarding procedures, structured risk management, clear governance arrangements, and ongoing staff training to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every young person.

Partnership Working

We understand that effective care is built on strong partnerships. We work closely with families, social workers, local authorities, commissioners, schools, NHS professionals, CAMHS teams, key workers, and wider multidisciplinary professionals to ensure that support is coordinated, responsive, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.

Our collaborative approach promotes clear communication, consistent support, and shared objectives, helping young people experience greater stability and continuity throughout their care journey.

Safe, Caring, and Nurturing Environments

Our homes are designed to provide safe, caring, and supportive environments where children and young people feel secure, respected, and valued.

Staffing levels are tailored to the needs of each young person and may include one-to-one or enhanced support where required. Through consistent care, positive relationships, and structured support, we aim to help children and young people develop confidence, emotional resilience, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Our Commitment

Our commitment is simple — to provide high-quality residential care that places children and young people at the heart of everything we do.

At Care NW, we do more than provide care and accommodation — we create safe and supportive homes where young people can build stability, develop confidence, and move forward towards brighter and more independent futures.
